新竹縣芎林鄉以務農為生，灌溉水源來自保護區頭前溪之水，土質肥美，甚至還被記載於小學課本中，是品質認證的水稻栽培區。日治時代日本人佔領台灣後吃遍台灣各地的米，覺得芎林的米特別好吃，指定為進貢天皇的「御用米」。
Hsinchu County's Qionglin Township relies on farming for its livelihood. The irrigation water comes from the protected area of the Headstream River, with fertile soil that is so good it's even mentioned in elementary school textbooks. It's a certified area for high-quality rice cultivation. During the Japanese colonial era, after the Japanese occupied Taiwan, they tasted rice from all over Taiwan and found Qionglin's rice particularly delicious. It was designated as the "Imperial Rice" offered to the Emperor.
